Fabulous boots!, September 27, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: nicole Women's Muster Boot (Apparel) I love these boots! They are very comfy, and were definitely made for walkin'. I typically wear a 7 or 7.5, and I ordered the 7.5. It's a tad roomy, but still very comfy. The best part is the toe box is tall enough to accomodate my up-turned big toe (something I have a LOT of problems fitting). The leather is a very nice weight- sturdy enough to have some structure, and supple enough to be comfortable. The fit through the leg is roomy enough that the boot slumps a little bit, but my calves are very skinny. The construction is high quality, and I expect these to last years. Note that the tie and tassles in the back are decorative: you can't adjust the fit with them. The top portion can be folded back for a more pirate-inspired look. Getting them on and off is not as easy as I'd like, you'll want to have a place to sit down while you do it. But once they're on, they look amazing and I had no problem covering some ground. My girlfriends gushed over them.

No where on the boot does it state they are leather. Even the box has no description what so ever of the material they are made from. Anytime a shoe/boot is leather it will say so either on the box or boot itself and these do not. Also, they feel like faux leather fabric and the inside is clearly lined in fabric. The current price is way overpriced for faux leather IMO. I sent these back because of the faulty description. I wanted leather boots. With all that being said, they are pretty comfortable and not bad looking.

The leather is nice, not incredible, but very worth the price. I'm a size 7 (narrow)and ordered a 7.5 which would be a little big except I put insoles in my shoes so it fits very well. Only had a small issue where the top of the shoe rubbed on my one toe, but I've broken it in and it's much better. I could stand on them for a few hours no issues. Hope this helps.
