A Wearable Pump, September 30, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Rockport Women's Mary Pump (Apparel) I am a 40-year old college professor and I am on my feet a lot. I need shoes that are polished and professional that don't make me want to saw my feet off at the end of the day. I was worried that these shoes would be really frumpy, but I was pleasantly surprised. My husband even said that they looked nice, and he hardly ever comments on clothing or shoes. These are not sexy or fashionable shoes but they are also not horrendously ugly to my eye. I usually wear a 9W or a 9.5 regular and these are ever so slight big, I could probably have taken a 8.5 W or a 9 regular. I will be looking for this style again. I have worn them to work often.

The chunky heel helps distribute weight evenly. I love how it's comfortable and practical for everyday use, and yet, it doesn't look like an old lady shoe. It is really versatile and it goes with everything. Best of all, it's wide enough for my feet! And I didn't even have to go up a width. The only thing I don't like is the price.
However, I purchased this shoe at amazon.com and when I opened the box, each shoe was in a different width (6W and 6M), so I had to return. So buyer beware!
